Fun House Dressing Room

Fun House Dressing Room displays a “dressing room” space and rack of white bathing suits ranging in size.  As visitors enter the space they are asked to try on the suits while in front of distorting mirrors, further magnifying the experience of trying on a bathing suit in public- a horror to most women living with the unreal standards of beauty imposed by society and media. When looking into the fun house mirror a sensor turns on a recording of women's internal thoughts. The viewer is drawn to the tactile nature of the installation. The relationship between space and audio, adds dimension to this intersubjective dialogue.
